About This Project

The Novatel Barossa Resort was opened in 1990 by the Novatel Group to provide 5 Star Accommodation to the growing South Australian Wine Industry and there local and international guests.

Keeping in line with their market leading product for the region they decided to lower their environmental foot print and install their own solar generation plant at their Rowland Flat site.

As this site has a back up generator to supply power during black outs in the area being frequent during the summer months it was important that a SOLAR PV / Generator interface system was installed, so that SOLAR PV was to be isolated from the generator when the generator was called on in the event of a power outage.
